As a Structural Design Engineer, you will play your part in the inspiring projects that we take on in various industries. You will apply your knowledge to topical issues from the market. Together with all the parties involved, you will find the best solution, and solve problems quickly and creatively. You will ask your colleagues, customers, or suppliers questions, whenever required.
You will be working in the Mechanical Engineering and/or Engineering Analysis department, depending on your work experience and knowledge of FEM.
You will be involved at every stage, from enquiry to delivery. You will create technical solutions independently or as part of a team, maintaining contact with customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments. You will also guide VIRO junior designers who will be working with you on your design.
The Vlaardingen office offers an ambitious and growing working environment, where a young team works together and helps each other out where needed. Colleagues often socialise and have fun with each other, even after work – from having a games evening, going for a run, or heading to the pub, to taking part in an engineering challenge.
There is plenty of room for initiative and personal development, plus you can help shape how our office develops. You can also meet new colleagues at fairs and other events through the Promo Team, and expand your own network so that Vlaardingen can grow.
As a Structural Design Engineer, you can work in either the ME or EA departments.
Mechanical Engineering focuses on various projects including mechanical engineering itself, but also product engineering and offshore industries.
The Engineering Analysis department specialises in simulations and analyses based on FEM (Finite Element Method), in the chemical, offshore, food, and speciality engineering market segments.
