Plant DesignAs an Entry level/Junior Engineer Piping/Plant Design, you will work in a team on several multidisciplinary customer projects. Under the guidance of an experienced design engineer, you will create layout drawings, piping routes, and simple steel constructions. Additionally, you will independently create detailed drawings including lists of materials and simple calculations. In this versatile role, you will learn about different fields of work and directions in which you could specialise. Being a junior engineer at VIRO is about gaining knowledge, so you can grow to become a specialist or move into another coordinating role.
You have completed education at MBO (intermediate vocational) or HBO (higher professional) level in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Interest in Plant Design and the chemical industry of tomorrow
Some experience working with a range of 2D/3D drawing software (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, PDMS, SolidWorks, or Inventor, for example) is preferred
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Interest in following training courses
A flexible attitude and willingness to perform work on location at customer premises (several days per week)
You can easily communicate with your clients and colleagues in Dutch and English
You persevere, are proactive, and like to provide your input on how things can be improved
